OANA at 12: A Look Back
On our 12th anniversary, we are re-releasing a selection of OANA’s op-eds from over the years. We have covered a wide range of issues, including taxes, politics, development, transportation, and cultural issues, many of which remain relevant today.
OANA is a community organization dedicated to supporting Old Astoria, promoting local economic growth, cultural vitality, and quality of life across an expanded neighborhood from Astoria Park to the Queensboro Bridge. We connect residents, businesses, and city partners to strengthen civic engagement, guide responsible development, and preserve the cultural character of the neighborhood.
